ARC Meetings
 
The Architectural Review Committee meets once a month on the first Wednesday to review all application received. Applications should be received 7 days prior to the meeting date and should be filled out completely, in order for the Committee to properly review each application. If the application is APPROVED then the homeowner will be notified with an approval letter via email. If the application is incomplete the homeowner will be required to provide additional information for the committee's review. It is important that you provide an email address or telephone number for us to contact you in case of any questions. If you have any questions, please email the ARC at arc@fmeha.org.
 
New Policy Resolution No. 09-2 ARC Administrative Fees Procedure
Goes into Effect Jan 1, 2010
We would like to remind all residents that the newest ARC Resolution, Policy 09-2, regarding the filing of the required application for Architectural changes to the Exterior of your home goes into effect January 1st. In summary, this Resolution gives the board the authority to assess an Administrative Fee of $100 for each instance of an exterior modification or addition that has been made to a home that was not properly applied for and approved through the Architectural Review Committee prior to its installation. Undocumented exterior changes are one of the most time consuming and labor-intensive issues that surface at the time of a home Resale, usually just prior to Closing. The ARC Guidelines, Application and list of changes or additions that require approval are available on our website at www.FMEHA.org on the Forms Page.
 
Commercial Vehicles Parked around Fox Mill Estates
It is illegal to park any commercial vehicle, trailer, or semi-trailer on or adjacent to roads in residentially zoned areas, except on taxicab or limousine per dwelling unit. This does not apply to temporary business activity. Description of commercial vehicles described in Fairfax County Code 82-5-7.
 
(Commercial vehicle includes: (i) any solid waste collection vehicle, tractor truck or tractor truck/semitrailer or tractor truck/trailer combination, dump truck, concrete mixer truck, towing and recovery vehicle with a registered gross weight of 12,000 pounds or more, and any heavy construction equipment, whether located on the highway or on a truck, trailer, or semitrailer; (ii) any trailer, semitrailer, or other vehicle in which food or beverages are stored or sold; (iii) any trailer or semitrailer used for transporting landscaping or lawn-care equipment whether or not such trailer or semitrailer is attached to another vehicle; and (iv) any vehicle licensed by the Commonwealth for use as a common or contract carrier or as a limousine.)
 
Only one commercial vehicle (limited in size) is permitted on private property in residentially zoned areas.
