RESTON TASK FORCE DEVELOPMENT INFO
Posted on Jan 13th, 2012
The Reston Task Force on development along the Dulles Toll Road has not been active. It is awaiting the results of the traffic analyses by the Fairfax County Department of Transportation. At present, the County has not said whether the second development scenario, which has much more residential development, will be more realistic than the County originally proposed.
Because the Federation of Citizens Associations represents the FMEHA before the Commonwealth and County governments, Fox Mill residents may want to review the Federation’s Legislative Program at http://www.fairfaxfederation.org/resolutions/ResolutionLegislativeProgram2012.pdf. They can send their comments to me and/or to Frank Anderson (FedLegislationChr2012 @ fairfaxfederation.org), who is the chairman of the Federation’s Legislative Committee.
The Federation’s next major effort concerns the County budget for FY2013. The school budget comes first. The County will present the school budget to the Federation Membership at its Thursday, January 19, 2012 (7:30 p.m.) meeting at the FCPS Administrative Offices, Room 5055 (fifth floor), 8115 Gatehouse Road, Falls Church, VA 22042. The Gatehouse garage is located on the east side of the building, but the entry closes at 8 p.m. The presentation includes a question-and-answer session. All members, including all FMEHA members, are invited. The meeting room has been large enough in the past; however, if many members of FMEHA come, a larger room may be needed. Members who expect to attend should let me know (fac@facinc.com) so I can request a larger room if necessary.
