5OTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF FOX MILL ESTATES HOMES ASSOCIATION
The 50th Anniversary Celebration of Fox Mill Estates Homes Association is coming up soon! It was back on May 29, 1972 that Reston West Development Company signed the documents, specifically the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, which officially established our community - the community we call home.

The Association is planning a celebration to take place this fall.  Mark your calendars now: Sunday, October 2 from 4:30-7pm at the Frying Pan Park Visitor Center and Pavilion. No rain date needed as the event will be indoors and with a covered picnic area!  If you have ideas or suggestions or want to help, please contact the Board of Directors or the Social Committee at board@fmeha.org or social@fmeha.org. In the meantime, if you have photos of Fox Mill or other memorabilia from the “olden days,” please start gathering them together for a future photo album.

The 50th Anniversary Committee is meeting to plan the Association’s 50th Anniversary that will take place on Sunday, October 3 from 4:30-7pm at the Frying Pan Center and Pavilion. If you would like to help and wish to attend the planning meeting, please send an email to social@fmeha.org for the location. The meeting will be on Tuesday, July 26th at 7:00 pm at a home in the neighborhood. If you can't make this meeting, check back, as we will be meeting regularly to plan this exciting event!

GOVERNING DOCUMENT REVIEW
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Association, is a great time for reflecting on the past and looking toward the future!
Part of looking toward the future includes the review the governing documents by which the Association must operate. Many things contained in these documents have and will continue to serve us well. Other items will need to be added, modified, or deleted to keep current, and in anticipation of future needs.

The Governing Document Review Committee has gathered information and is working with the Association’s legal counsel to refine the documents. We expect to receive the recommended changes later this summer/early fall and will present the proposed changes to the Owners later this year. Changes to the Declaration and Bylaws will be voted on by the Owners.

Please watch for future announcements regarding the document update. For more information regarding these changes, contact:  vp@fmeha.org
